The Romanian Center for European Polices (CRPE) and the Academic Society of Romania (SAR) released a study that aims to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the Mechanism for Cooperation and Verification (MCV) in the area of justice agreed upon by the European Union and Romania, analyzing the factors that have facilitated the acceptance and implementation of EU conditions.
The report presents some arguments supporting the exceptional case of Moldova within the Eastern Partnership. If the EU is willing to confirm its commitment concerning the Eastern dimension of the ENP and its availability to make the Eastern Partnership a substantial policy, it wouldn't found a better occasion to encourage the currently adopted direction of Moldova. It is a common agreement among the experts, that the Eastern Partnership lacks a clear perspective and a successful story.
In this report is argued by the CRPE, the importance of creating strong European economic supervision mechanisms which would be in the interest of Romania-we would simply import the fiscal responsability, a thing which Romania lacks.
The European Union has committed to take a decision regarding the reduction of gas emissions with 30% by 2020 in comparison with the levels of emissions registered in 1990. The condition was that other developed countries to reduce the emissions to a comparable level with the EU and the developing countries to start acting more responsible. The EU plays a very promising strategy hoping that the rest of the countries concerned with the global warming to act accordingly.

Sweden has taken the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The expectations of the Swedish Government are high, especially after the Czech Presidency, which was unanimously declared incoherent. Thus, the Swedish government boosted the stake choosing as a slogan "Taking on the challenges"/ Answering the challenges and announcing an ambitious agenda.
The European Council which will take place on the 18th-19th of June in Brussels will be unusual. The current topics on the agenda will be most probably outshone by the elections of a new President of the European Commission. In this report, CRPE has proposed solutions for the democratization of the European elections: Changing the voting system in order for the voters to have the possibility to choose between the incumbents of the same party, and
a commitment of the incumbents that they would not leave the European Parliament early than their regular mandate time.
