Elections in Moldova: Four Pessimistic Scenarios and How you could avoid them

All these scenarios show that the pro-democratic movements are difficult to train and support in the post-Soviet area, especially in the places were the Russian speaking population represent a considerable procentage of the population, so that the commercial and energetic dependence on the Russian Federation is very strong, the political power has to be shared with Moscow's loyal actors and the governments either they can't, nor they want to make fundamental political and economic reforms.

Answering the challenge of having an European Voice- Romania and the Swedish Presidency of the Union

Sweden has taken the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The expectations of the Swedish Government are high, especially after the Czech Presidency, which was unanimously declared incoherent. Thus, the Swedish government boosted the stake choosing as a slogan "Taking on the challenges"/ Answering the challenges and announcing an ambitious agenda.

True Democratic Elections

In this report, CRPE has proposed solutions for the democratization of the European elections: Changing the voting system in order for the voters to have the possibility to choose between the incumbents of the same party, and
a commitment of the incumbents that they would not leave the European Parliament early than their regular mandate time.
