The public debt crisis has created a huge anxiety within the EMU. Unsurprisingly, the emergency measures have continued to be used in a moment,when an economic recovery is foreseen. Following this, the October summit of the European Council has examined a report of a significant group of action: “The consolidation of the economic governance in the EU”.This document is bound to be analyzed together with the reform proposals presented by the European Commission at the end of September. The Depth of this economic crisis has urged the governments and the EU institutions to take a closer look to the Union’s governmental structure.
