CRPE – R.Moldova launches the study “The implementation of EU standards on construction products in the Republic of Moldova: challenges and perspectives”, written by Iurii Socol, director of National Institute for Standardization and Inga Savin, affiliated expert at CRPE. The study is published within the project “Informing the public and stakeholders about European standards adopted in the framework of DCFTA”, implemented by CRPE – R.Moldova.
The aim of the study is to clarify the benefits associated with the transition to the new European standards in terms of construction products and to identify the main challenges faced by the business envinronment within the construction sector in Moldova. Moreover, the study presents some recommendations for the stakeholders in order to facilitate and accelerate the transition to the European standards and to increase the efficiency of the process.
For a better understanding of how the representatives from the construction products sector perceive the benefits of implementing European standards, several representatives were interviewed and the results presented in a separate chapter.
