The capacity-building program for local NGOs in the Republic of Moldova, launched by the European Affairs Research and Advocacy Center, the Moldovan branch of CRPE, continued in March 2025 with a high-energy session in Chișinău. Over 50 participants representing 32 civil society organizations from across the country joined us for an intense, hands-on training experience.
The program brought together new and emerging NGOs and civic groups for targeted support sessions, best practice exchanges, lessons learned from community activism, strategic insights from key donors, and concrete tools for building long-term organizational sustainability.
Supporting small and medium size NGOs
We want to empower active and diverse organizations from all over Moldova to better mobilize local resources, access new funding opportunities, and establish meaningful partnerships.
Supported by the Black Sea Trust and the European Union, this six-month program dedicated to capacity buidling in Republic of Moldova offers practical and tailored support: personalized mentoring, guides, applied exercises, and access to useful networks that will help strengthen the capacity of participating organizations.
Why do small NGOs matter?
Many of these organizations operate in communities with limited civic space and restricted access to resources. Yet, their role is critical: they sustain civic participation, support vulnerable groups, promote democratic values, and lead relevant local actions that otherwise would not happen.
On March 22nd, 2025, in Chișinău, participants, trainers, and invited experts gathered to discuss:
- The role of civil society in Moldova’s democratic future and the EU accession process;
- How NGOs can better understand and respond to the needs of their communities;
- Successful strategies for fundraising and partnership-building;
- New opportunities arising from Moldova’s EU membership negotiations.
We are proud to help building a network of local organizations ready to drive change exactly where it’s most needed.
