Milk and Croissant National Programme in the context of the European Union School Milk Scheme
Period of implementation: November 2014 – March 2015
The project aims to undertake an analysis of the Milk and Croissant National Programme on several dimensions – social, economic, education and health – and to show how it is aligned with the initiative of the European Union School Milk Scheme.
The main research of the study focuses on the following aspects: (1) relevance to target group – students in Romania, (2) effectiveness and efficiency of implementation, and (3) the impact on children’s health and on economic operators in the dairy industry. The research methodology includes both studying official sources (legislation, reports), and interviews with representatives of various ministries, authorities, schools, organizations, parents, teachers, family doctors and NGOs.
