The year 2024 was marked by intense electoral activity in both Romania and the Republic of Moldova. This context made our work even more relevant, especially our projects focused on youth, education, rural development, and countering disinformation. It also reaffirmed the importance of the European values CRPE promotes and underscored the need to continue defending them.
Civic engagement, education, media literacy, and rural development
With your support, in 2024 we were able to:
-
Reach more than 6,500 citizens through civic events, EU-focused debates, workshops, media literacy sessions, and online modules.
-
Engage over 700 young people from more than 70 schools in civic activities, energy-efficiency workshops, or through support offered to vocational and technical schools.
-
Organize more than 50 events, with over 4,500 participants, including debates, workshops, and study visits.
-
Train more than 170 teachers in areas such as agricultural innovation, environmental education, and media literacy.
-
Publish over 30 policy reports and practical guides, including educational modules and resources for teachers.
In a year shaped by disinformation and extremist rhetoric, CRPE created spaces for public dialogue, supported farmers and agricultural cooperatives, strengthened agricultural schools in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, and brought issues such as the green transition and sustainability closer to local communities.
We are grateful to all partners, teachers, students, civic organizations, and everyone who were next to us this year!
We invite you to explore more stories and results in the CRPE 2024 Annual Report.
